| Abstract | 연구개발의 결과는 다음과 같다. (1) 신생대 포함분지 퇴적층에 대한 층서일람표 및 생층서 자료 수집 및 DB화 (2) 중생대 충남탄전 및 경상분지 퇴적층에 대한 층서일람표 및 생층서 자료 수집 및 DB화 (3) 고생대 옥천대의 조선누층군 및 평안누층군의 층서일람표 및 생층서 자료 수집 및 DB화 (4) 동아시아 국가들 지질, 지질정보 자료수집 (성과물: Geological Correlation: Lexicon, Biostratigraphy, Geochronology Data Base) (5) 국제회의 참석을 통해 지질, 지리정보 교환망 구축 This project focuses on the compilation and digitization of geo-spatial data of major sedimentary basins in Korea. Geo-spatial data are divided into two types: lithostratigraphic lexicons and biostratigraphic data. Lithostratigraphic lexicons represent systematic summaries for lithostratigraphic units and included unit name, rank, type locality, index, geologic age, geologic province, and references. Biostartigraphic data are summaries of biozones and consist of fossil type, name of biozone, kind of zone, lithic unit, base of the zone, top of the zone, geologic age, paleogeographic range, historical record, and references. Representative sedimentary basins and strata in each geologic period were chosen as targets for compilation and digitization of lithostratigraphic lexicon and biostratigraphic data as follows: Paleozoic (Joseon Supergroup and Pyeongan Supergroup in Ogcheon belt), Mesozic (Triassic-Jurassic Chungnam basin and Gretaceous Gyeongsang basin), and Cenozoic (Tertiary Pohang basin). With reference to lithostratigraphic lexicons, a total of 156 lexicons were compiled as follows: 50 lexicons from the Cambro-Ordovician Joseon Supergroup in the Taebaegsan basin, 24 lexicons from Carboniferous to Triassic Pyeongan Supergroup in the Ogcheon belt), 9 lexicons from Triassic to Jurassic strata in the Chungnam basin, 41 lexicons from the Cretaceous Gyeongsang basin and 32 lexicons from the Tertiary Pohang basin. Biostratigraphic data are compiled according to geologic age. A total of 100 biozones were compiled as follows: 63 biozones from the Paleozoic strata and 37 biozones from the Cenozoic strata. However, Mesozoic data cannot be compiled on the basis of biozone, due to lack of fossils in Mesozoic basins. Rather, flora and fauna data were collected in reference to each lithostratigraphic unit. Data acquired from this project were exchanged with compatible data from CCOP member countries (East Asia). Compiled data up to now have been digitized into CD-ROM format, resulting in the production of WGGC CD-ROM(GEOLOGICAL CORRRELATION: Lexicon, Biostratigraphy, Geochronology Data Bases). Data compilation will be completed, and a final version of CD will be produced sooner or later |
