초록 | The mine information system in this study provide geographic information in the fields of mining and mining geology, using the 'Object Oriented Technology'. The system offers not only the surface conditions of the mine area but also those of underground that might have been changed after mining. Mine Information System : Mine has the main role in managing the mine information system. Four major categories can be included in mine data: 1. Mines. 2. Mine Lots. 3. Geology. 4. Drill holes. Each category represents a major branch of information of a mine, forming a composite object which contains several other objects, and is included in the object 'Mine'. Coal mines which belong to the northern part of the Chungnam Coal Field were chosen to establish and to examin the model information system.
