초록 인도네시아 술라웨시 알리투푸 지역 중석 및 비철금속 광화대 지화학 및 광상조사연구:The semi-detailed geochemical survey was carried out on the Altiupu area, Centra Sulawesi, Indonesia in 1998. The field survey on the project area was conducted for 26 days form 14th May to 8th June in 1998. One hundred and seventy rock samples including ores were collected for petrochemical, chemical assay, and mineralogical studies. Two hundred and twenty four stream sediments and same numbers of heavy concentrates were sampled for the elaboration of geochemical map. The geological mapping (scale 1/1,000) has been performed on the scheelite outcrop around Kie creek. According to the results of the current exploration, three promising areas; "A", "B", "C" are recommended for more datailed exploration. The promising areas were selected by the estimation of the results of this exploration as follow; The first is the geologic settings for the development of possible ore deposits related to the plate tectonic activities which could provide the magmatic arc zone with the environments of mineralization. In this environments, plutonic rock type as per-aluminous, calc-alkaline and I-type granite (magnetite series) are closely related with the base metals including porphyry copper and tungsten mineralization. The second is the mineralogical observation to be useful criteria for the development of tungsten and its associated elements such as gold, zinc in promising area "A". In particular, the abundances of tungsten in promising area "A" range up to about 0.18 wt.% in heavy concentrates at the Kie river, Alitupu. Tungsten mineralization in promising area "A" is detected elsewhere to be associated with scheelite bearing felsic veins and thin scheelite veinlets infiltrated into the fracture system of the andesite. The third is the element associations of W-Pb-Zn-Au anomalies in promising area "A" and As-Au-W-Zn anomalies in promising area "B" and As-Cu anomalies in promising area "C" indicating the metallogenic associations situated in marginal subducted plate zones. The fourth is that the results of the geochemical exploration such as chemical contrasts of element distributions and factor analysis are consistent with each other. According to the above mentioned criteria, promising areas "A", "B", and "C" in the studied area are recommended for more detailed exploration.

캄보디아 귀금속 광상조사 - 카티, 스노울, 빠일링 지역 -: This survey, one of the projects for investigation in the precious metal deposits of the Circum-Pacific Ocean countries, was performed in gold deposits of Kati and Snoul, and gem field of Pailing, Cambodia, in which there are numbers of undeveloped mineral resources. The Jinro Ltd. had attempted to develop ruby and sapphire in the Pailing area. The placer gold deposits in the Kati area occur mainly in the surface soils and stream sediments. It seems that most of gold are digged out. The Oksan Ltd. of Korea and a Chinese company have exploration licence for these deposits. The deposit of the Chinese are has been operated by local peoples, while the Oksan area is found as non-economic deposit. However, it is found that the poor local infra-structure in these areas lead a conclusion that these deposits. The deposit of the Chinese are has been operated by local peoples, while the Oksan area is found as non-economic deposit. However, it is found that the poor local infra-structure in these areas lead a conclusion that these areas are not worthwhile to exploration further. The gold deposits in the Snoul area occur in gold-bearing primary quartz veins besides stream. The quartz vein (grade : 17.7 g/t in maximum) is distributed in 5-10m in depth, and about 40m in length with strike of N60°E, but the total length is not confirmed yet. The ore body locally contains lots of sulfide minerals and visible gold. High contains of gold grade, good infra-structure, easy accessibility, and not-registrated condition request to carry out more detailed survey. The gem fields in the Pailing area are typically distributed in the laterite of weathered basalts. The grade is low in the surface soil horizon (less than 1m in depth), but is higher in the subsurface. The kinds of gem depend on the color of the laterite; ruby is in horizon with red, and sapphire is in blue. Jinro Ltd. and the companies of Cambodia and Thailand have the mining licence for this area. According to informal report, the Jinro Ltd. has mined ruby and sapphire of 300-500 g/day. It is concluded that detailed geological survey in the Pailing region may bring a new discovery of precious gem stone deposit
