초록 Since the former Soviet Union was collapsed, Korea and Russia are pursuing the mutual collaborations in several fields as trade, education, science, athletics. Recently, expand of trade in the Russian Far East Region has an important meaning to both countries. Korea, resources - poor nation, is obliged to depended on the foreign countries for the stable, divers and long-term supply of natural resources. Russia, a consumption goods - deficient nation, has need of it and therefore import the necessaries from abroad as Korea. The first purpose of this project is to gather and analyze the useful information on natural resources in Russian Far East. The second is to provide the useful data to Korean companies which hope for the exploitation of prospective deposits and also give a technical supports as a geological survey, mining development aplan and feasibility study. The third purpose of this project is to survey in detail to the prospective deposits and to estimate it exactly in order to develop with success by Korean companies. For these reasons, three concerte projects were executed as follows: 1)The survey on Zhorma placer deposit in Khabarovsk region. 2)The survey on Dylma gold vein deposit in Khabarovsk region. 3)The preliminry survey on germanium-bearing coal deposits in Primorye region. Zhorma placer gold deposit, located in Khabarovsk region, has the prognosis reserves of 480Kg(category P₁) with an average grade of 1g/t Au. The exploration and development of the deposit were designed in 1995-1999. For its realization, the investments by State budget were expected 500 million rubles in 1996 and 1,000 million rubles in 1997. Zhorma Company states that the profit will be expected to 4,175 million rubles in 1996-1998. Zhorma Company actually produced 5Kg of gold in 1997. Dylma gold deposit of Au-bearing quartz vein type, located also in Khabarovsk region, has a reserves (category C₁) of 4.5 ton of Au with an average grade of 9 g/t Au. By the result of detail survey, the reserve of category C₁ will be increase to 10 ton and the required investment is 5 million $ in totals. Germanium-bearing brown coal deposits are well know in Primorye region and none of them are developed till present time, but the possible potentiality of its utilization will be a great in near future. One of them has a good infrastructure to be developed, with an average content of 340 g/t Ge. The project, supported by Ministry of Science and Technology, was carried out for three years from November 1995 to August 1998. We thank for the support, comments by Yevgeny Moon (DVIMS), V.B. Troian (President of Khabarovsk Dalgeolcom), and Alexander F. Litvinov (Vice President of Kamchatka Geolcom), Alexander V. SAVVIN (President of Primorye Geolcom), Alexander A. KUZIN (Vice President of Birobidzhan Geolcom), Park B. Anatolevich (President of Amur Geolcom)
